Warner Bros released an hour long documentary that takes the intrigued through the evolution of the Batmobile as it’s been depicted in films.
The documentary from Warner Bros allows fans to digest details of the iconic vehicle and reminisce of their favorites. The online film includes some of the classics from comics but mostly focuses on the Batmobiles we’ve seen in the long history of the moving image.
CBR shares:
Batman has been driving since his first appearance in Detective Comics #27. However, as The Dark Knight Rises producer Michael Uslan points out in the documentary, back then the Batmobile was a simple red sedan. It wasn’t until two years later that Bill Finger began to redesign the car to match its ever-darkening superhero.
Alongside Uslan, and Batmobile designers from across the Batman franchise, the documentary features famous directors from major Batman films such as Christopher Nolan, Tim Burton, Joel Schumacher and more, as well as former DC publisher Dan DiDio; all discussing the 70 year history of the Batmobile and its impact on contemporary culture.
