New Girl’s star actor, Lamorne Morris, is set to premiere in a new comedy called Woke. This lead follows his other appearance in Netflix’s latest film, Desperados. And although the show is a comedy, it’ll also shed light on important matters.
The show will focus on a cartoonist named Keef, who is making great strides in his career. Amid his life journey, he gets tackled to the floor by police officers. That incident opens his eyes and makes him ‘woke,’ meaning that he starts noticing remarks and microaggressions thrown his way.
He also watches inanimate objects come to life, advising him on how to navigate the world, and will inevitably cause some amusing scenarios to happen.
Woke will debut on Hulu on September 9th, 2020.
