He has given audiences a number of memoorabl performances sinc ehis acting career began, and now he has another on the way with the official trailer for Morbius being unveiiled earlier this week.
Despite achieving fame for his musical career, Leto has certainly been hard at work in the field of acting for some time now. Dating back to his performances in films like 2000’s Requiem for a Dream, he has seemingly always been willing to push the envelope and potentially leave his comfort zone to try something new. Another great example of that would be his role in thee 2016 film Suicide Squad where he played the iconic villian from the Batman franchise best known as The Joker, serving as the highlight of a rather underwhelming project that now has him set to star in a spin-off film. His latest project is seemingly much more in line with that role in Morbius, where he is set to play a doctor who was believed to be dead only to come back stronger than anybody could have ever expected. This otherworldly power isn’t wholly positive however, and in the trailer for Morbius viewers can see the dichotomy that Leto’s character faces in fighting the evil side of his newfound powers. The film is additionally set to be a spin-off to the latest Spider-Man reboot with the character serving as a one of the iconic web-slinging hero’s villains, with Morbius expected to hit theaters on January 28th.
Jared Leto is clearly a man of many talents, and Morbius should put one of those talents on full display for moviegoers. Having spent nearly three decades refining his acting abilities, he is now prepared to undertake even the most challenging of roles and play multiple iconic villains from different timeless superhero franchises. While most kids grow up dreaming of being a superhero, Leto has stepped into the role of villains quite remarkably and seems right at home. It should be interesting to see what comes of Morbius, and eager fans can begin counting down the days until the project hits theaters.
