Two years ago, TDE’s Jay Rock released his 15-track effort, Redemption.
In light of its debut, Redemption received great feedback, including from Pitchfork. The music critic platform rated Rock’s project as an 8/10 and went on to say that “Redemption his battle-tested and watchful third album bears those bruises with pride, the way a soldier might be proud of their service record.” Now, Rock proclaims that a new album of his is “80% done.”
On Saturday, Rock posted a black and white flick of himself laughing away in the studio. But at the very top of this particular photo, he wrote in white text: “When Yo Project At 80% Done.”
This sudden announcement follows Kendrick Lamar‘s about creating a new media company called pgLang with Baby Keem and Dave Free.
