According to the “Bad Boy For Life,” Diddy, a reboot of his show, Making The Band, is in the works. He hinted at the exciting news via. Instagram with a video post.
“I’ve made my decision #MakingTheBand is coming back!!!” Diddy penned underneath the video clip, “Sometimes you live in your bubble and you may not really know the importance of something you created. And with Making the Band, myself and MTV created something special. We empowered young talent from all over the world. No matter what hood they was from, no matter what background they was from, everybody got a chance.”
Making The Band will have assistance from Diddy’s three sons, Christian Combs, Justin Combs, and Quincy Brown.
Recently, however, the music businessman called on Monica, Jermaine Dupri, Coach K, Quavo, Dallas Austin, and Pierre Thomas to be guest judges for the auditions in Atlanta, GA.
Granted that the music scene has changed drastically in the last decade, Dupri went on Twitter to pen his thoughts about singers that have ‘gotten with the times’ and, instead, let electronic recordings alter their god-given pitch too much.
“One of the things that I notice and learned going to the #makingoftheband try outs, is that kids are using auto tune so much, the understanding of being tone def is gone and people be singing in all kinda keys lol this is really a epidemic.” he writes.
