What do you get when two comedy-writing brothers join forces? A brand new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle full-length film, of course! At least, that’s what’s been reported by Deadline. The two brothers, Casey Jost and Colin Jost are set to co-write for the next Paramount TMNT film. Not to be confused with the upcoming animated relaunch of the film being produced by Seth Roger. This film is said to be a live action movie, although no word on the title of the film.
The film will be produced by Michael Bay, Andrew Form, Brad Fuller, Scott Mednick and Galen Walker. There’s no word on a plot or if the film will be a follow up to the last full length feature that was released in 2016 titled, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows. What is known so far is that the film will be hilarious, we can assume. The brother duo are both comedy writers in their own right. Colin Jost was just nominated for an Emmy for writing for Saturday Night Live and Casey is a producer on truTV’s prank show, Impractical Jokers. Casey has been with the show since 2012. Need I say more?
Casey Jost seemed to have confirmed the news by posting a picture of the bothers as little boys all dressed up in their TMNT attire.
TMNT is a fictional show about four superhero ninja turtles. The turtles started as a comic book back in 1984 and has since transformed into a billion dollar franchise. There have been many shows, movies and action figures that have sustained since. I’m sure this new film will be another classic! Get ready for some more turtle power!
