Kanye West, there’s always something interesting when discussing the multi-talented artist. Recently, it was announced by his famous wife Kim Kardashian that he would be dropping an album titled Jesus Is King. She “leaked” the tracklist and stated the album would be released on September 27th. As it seems, we have false hope for another release of a Kanye album.
Last Year, West teased the release of an album called Yandhi which was scheduled to be released a year to date. Yandhi was eventually fully leaked this past summer, with some saying that it was leaked by West himself to obtain a public opinion of his direction. Now rumors have been spreading that Jesus Is King is delayed and West will focus back on Yandhi.
This past Tuesday, Hits Daily Double reported that a meeting surrounding the album occurred this weekend between Def Jam and West in Wyoming. The reports say that it seems the project’s release date has been pushed back to an unconfirmed date. Also, a source close to Variety also said that the album will not be released this Friday as originally announced.
It’s fair to assume that Kim has much more insight into Kanye’s plans than anyone else so perhaps, the project will see the light of day come Friday morning. ‘Ye’s also confirmed that the project would be arriving throughout the month. First, on his website and later on at an appearance in Indiana.
He has a history of working on album’s until the last second as we’ve seen with Life Of Pablo, Ye and the majority of the other projects that came from the Wyoming sessions. Whether it drops this Friday or not might be unclear but it’s definitely on the way.
