Kirko Bangz has been under the radar for quite some time. After his 2011 hit, “Drank In My Cup” made airwaves, the artist went on to take part in many bangers like Slim Thug‘s “Addicted,” and Meek Mill’s “Young And Gettin’ It.” Though his hiatus almost felt long-lived, Bangz is back this year with a two-part track called “No Calls/No Clothes.” In his new single, Bangz flexes heavy and talks about how he’s focused more on thumbing through blue-faces than a girlfriend. Rather than use his signature deep auto-croon, Bangz turns it up a notch by dabbling into a softer and projective tone. Production-wise, the first piece of his track draws from trap and carries an infectious acoustic phone ring.
The latter “No Clothes,” however, takes an R&B approach. In short, the other half comes off as a sensual ballad that sees Bangz speaking on his promiscuous ways. One line even goes, “She rides like a Bugatti movin’ slow (Yeah, yeah)/You know they get excited when a real nigga up in it/She got skin tones like DeJ Loaf, hair long like J. Cole/Told me to keep the jewelry on, I’m like “Who the hell am I to say no?”
