So far, he’s dropped two certified bangers off the mixtape, “Rollercoasters (feat. Max Landry)” and “BOP CITY CHAMPS.”
About “Rollercoasters,” he says
“It seems like everything is a constant Roller Coaster. No matter how successful, no what stage you’re at in your career, or where you want to be, there are always ups and downs, gives and takes, and let’s not forget the sacrifices. What I can tell you, though, is through all of the turns, the bumps, I’m not slowing down—having a blast the whole time!”
In “BOP CITY CHAMPS,” Koncept notifies listeners that things aren’t what they appear. Society constantly motions individuals to the limelight. Yet, there’s A LOT that goes on behind the scenes. So sometimes, it’s nice to find a place that takes you away from the chaos. And that’s primarily what he vocalizes. The beat, produced by Max Landry, is the perfect aesthetic for the hook. It includes space-esque synths, dark elements, and a ting of boom-bap.
From the beginning, the prolific emcee is enjoying the fruits of his labor. Now that Koncept has tackled everything off his to-do list, he’s able to relax at his own leisure.
He spits, “A million things in my day I go through/I escape to space where there’s no rules/Well, goodbye I’m so rude.“
Afterward, Koncept lyrically illustrates the ambiance of his blissful retreat.
He follows this with a dominant line,
“Everything you lose is a real loss/Trust me, cause you just met a real boss.”
Subsequently, he highlights the positives to being charismatic.
Then, a haunting harmony intervenes, giving Koncept to speak about how he’s really feeling. “Can’t wait till tomorrow comes/I just drank everything I bottled up.” At one point, he references Ancalagon.
In the second verse, Koncept expresses what’s resulted since finding success.
“BOP CITY CHAMPS read on everyone’s polo/My face tattooed on her t*tty YOLO.”
Before the song closes, he details an intimate rendezvous with a special lady.
