On yesterday’s “The Tonight Show” starring Jimmy Fallon, Lana Del Rey was the special guest and she certainly did not disappoint. She came on the show and performed her song, “Let Me Love You Like a Woman”, one of her newest hits that was just released last October.
Lana Del Rey has had a successful year in spite of the pandemic. She has worked tirelessly on her Christmas special album, the set of “American standards and classics”, which is about to come out as the holiday season approaches. In addition, she has been heavily promoting and hyping up her sixth and newest upcoming album, Chemtrails Over the Country Club, which has repeatedly been pushed back, now set to come out in early 2021. This song she did her video performance of last night was highly anticipated and is meant to preface her exciting new album, as this is one of the starring songs on it. At the same time, the music video in her pre recorded performance aligned with the holiday season and the cozy, wintery vibes. She is dressed in a vintage black leather jacket with her hair in a more retro, traditional style. The background is dark, small, and intimate looking among the musicians accompanying her. Lana Del Rey sings in a beautiful, unrestrained voice, smiling, with the song clearly focusing more on the unapologetic, sweet, inviting melody rather than the instrumental. These video features all emphasize the warm and cozy tone evoked by this song. Lana Del Rey killed it last night, and we are so excited for this album to come out!
