MGM brings Legally Blonde back for a third sequel after 17 years. Keeping Reese Witherspoon as our too blonde to handle attorney Elle Woods for the chic comedy that revolves around marriage, education and the right to shop!
The film is being carried out by Witherspoons own Hello Sunshine studio with the franchise’s original producer Marc Platt. Mindy Kalling and Dan Goor have comedy credits from plenty giggle flicks becoming Netflix hits and earning Emmys.
News of a third Legally Blonde movie was announced back in 2018. “Kiwi” Smith and Karen McCullah– The writing duo of the first Legally Blonde (2001) were originally set to write the script but Kaling and Goor promise to bring a new and improved Elle Woods to the spotlight of life.
Fun Fact: Before Legally Blonde the movie was Legally Blonde the book. The book is written by Amanda Brown telling the story of her own real experience at Stanford Law School, where she decided to go based on the shopping mall nearby.
