Following the release of his humorous visual for “Oprah’s Bank Account,” which features DaBaby and Drake, Lil Yachty announced that he’d be dropping a predecessor to Lil Boat and Lil Boat 2.
In his previous work, listeners heard Yachty (or as Drake puts it, “yah-tchee”) let the phrase “Lil Boat” escape his lips before getting into his bars. Now, the saying seems to transfer over in Yachty’s album names. On the anniversary of his 2016 album, Lil Boat, Yachty unveiled to fans worldwide that he has more music in the works.
“Lil Boat 3, coming soon,” penned the, as others would say, “Hot Cheetos” haired artist, “Thank you for your patience. Please enjoy the new single ‘Oprah’s Bank Account.'”
The visual for “Oprah’s Bank Account” sees Yachty dressed as the famous women host, Oprah (or, in this case, “Boprah”). As the video continues, Boprah has Drake as a guest on the show, and the two exchange words about ‘light skin tendencies’ and other amusing topics. When DaBaby makes an appearance in “Oprah’s Bank Account,” Boprah and the “Baby” rapper interview in a more intimate setting. Then, the visual transitions to Boprah, giving each audience member a boat as a parting gift.
At the bottom of Lil Yachty’s artwork for Lil Boat 3, both graphics for Lil Boat and Lil Boat 2 appear. But for Lil Boat 3, there seems to be a question mark placed over the album cover. Speaking of questions, one seems to linger on: Will this new album drop before or after his joint project with Tee Grizzley? Stay tuned.
