Promotional material is already hyping the pending release of “Diamonds”, which will be featured on the Warner Bros. and DC film’s album. The song marks the first official collaboration between Megan Thee Stallion and Normani.
After teasing a collab near the end of 2019, the pair have dropped the single and music video for “Diamonds.” The track will appear in the upcoming DC superhero film “Birds of Prey”, starring Aussie actor Margot Robbie reprising her role as Harley Quinn. The clip features shots from the new film. And we see the Houston pair beat up some bad guys.
Normani is nominated for four iHeartRadio Music Awards, including two for her “Dancing with a Stranger” collab with Sam Smith. Megan Thee Stallion, meanwhile, has already picked up trophies at the BET Hip Hop Awards, Billboard Women in Music event and Variety‘s Hitmakers.
The soundtrack will be released the same day as Birds of Prey, February 7, so we’ll just have to keep “Diamonds” on repeat until then so we can maintain this high level of excitement. Check out the single below.
