Scoop of the Day
Hey, feature family! This year’s MTV Video Music Awards will be hosted your favorite star, Megan Thee Stallion, on September 11th. If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, make to grab them now!
2024 VMA’S AWARDS ⭐️
This event marks Megan’s debut as a host, following her previous appearances at award shows. It’s also a significant day for her, as she is nominated for multiple awards this year at the VMA! This includes collaborations with other featured artists, such as Glorilla. The talented hip-hop artist is also leading the category for her hit song “Savage,” which has made a significant impact. So far, she has made her mark in the industry by winning not just one, but two VMAs and three Grammys.
Despite her challenges, Megan has a fantastic taste in music and hosting. She’s already hosted Saturday Night Live and co-hosted Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Clearly, she’s no stranger to the hosting scene and does a fantastic job! Her energy and excitement are truly delightful to see!
Meg Music Career!
At the start of the year, Megan took a break from the media and limited her releases. However, she returned stronger than ever with a new album that passed the vibe check. In this album, she features collaborations with several other hip-hop artists, including Glorilla, Big K.R.I.T, Yuki Chiba, Kyle Richh, and one of my favorites, Victoria Monet.
This year, the VMAs will be broadcast live at 8 PM ET/PT, debuting Wednesday at the UBS Arena in New York City!
Taylor Swift leads the nominees with a total of 10 nominations, followed closely by Post Malone with nine. Ariana Grande, Sabrina Carpenter, Eminem, Megan, and SZA each have six nominations, while Lisa has five. Olivia Rodrigo and Teddy Swims each have four nominations.
Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite in 15-neutral categories on August 30th,2024
MTV has issued a statement regarding the observance of the 23rd anniversary of 9/11, announcing their support for the nonprofit 9/11 Memorial & Museum again this year. This initiative aims to honor and acknowledge the memory of those affected by the tragedy and to organize the September 11 National Day of Service, serving all families.
The VMAs will be executive produced by Den of Thieves and Bruce Gillmer. Co-founder Jesse Ignjatovic will make his debut in this role, with Barb Bialkowski serving as a co-executive producer. Alicia Portugal and Jackie Barba will oversee production, while Wendy Plath will handle celebrity talent. Additionally, Lisa Lauricella will take charge of music talent.
