New Jersey rapper, Mir Fontane, has been working around the clock. As of late, he’s released a plethora of singles and two well-acclaimed albums. Now, Mir Fontane has another single to add to his list of bangers called “Georgia Peaches.”
Calling himself Macaroni Tony in the newest song, Mir Fontane meshes a funky soundscape with jazzy elements in means of expressing how he feels about a woman who continuously puts on a front about how she feels about him. Additionally, one can concur that his vocality slightly resonates with singer Charlie Wilson.
“I got inspired to write Georgia Peaches because, at the time, it was hard to make myself happy…emotionally. I started taking music too seriously, life too seriously. I used the funk that I was in to create Georgia Peaches and the birth of Macaroni Tony,” Mir Fontane told HotNewHipHop. “The song gives me heavy 80’s vibes and every time I hear it I just wanna dance, skate, go to a cookout or something enjoyable. It’s one of the few happy, upbeat songs in my dark and melodic catalog.”
Between lyrics, Mir Fontane says lines like “that girl bad she got secrets,” and “she said there’s no love on this outside/You don’t trust nobody, maybe that’s why/She told me all she needed was the right guy/But she don’t see herself in my life.” But luckily, he’s down for the challenge.
As the song continues, Mir Fontane lets it be known that he’s not giving up on her or their love. Instead, the musician is doing everything in his willpower to prove that he’s not going to be another heartache. He will not accept being just friends and plans on sweeping her off her feet.
