Tupac is a legend, we can all agree on that. It seems though as time passes by, his name is brought up less and less in the hip hop conversation or if it brought up(usually by a young person) it’s something derogatory and disrespectful. There will always be an idea of the phenomenon when you look at his career. He was most definitely more than his music, he was the purest form of an artist. So when never-before-seen footage released we have to appreciate that we can see it.
Originally reported HHNM, a hip-hop fossil has just been uncovered by MTV. The television network just released a previously-never-seen 20-minute interview with Tupac at Venice Beach, which has the rapper discussing some deep topics with Tabitha Soren. The interview was from October 27, 1995, making it Pac’s first official interview since his release from prison.
This interview has Tupac speaking about where he got his name, his mother’s history of crack cocaine use, selling drugs himself, working with Mike Tyson to help the community, moving to California from Baltimore, and more.
