This year, MTV Video Music Awards will be held at the Barclays Center in New York City. Unlike last year, the popular awards show will be aired live. Because of the height of COVID, there was no live audience, and most of the performances were pre-recorded. MTV announced the news today, saying it’ll air on September 12th.
More details, along with performers, presenters, and the evening’s host, will be announced in the next few months. Barclay’s Center and MTV will also make sure to keep the health guidelines in place, being that the pandemic isn’t over.
