Netflix’s Heartstopper has been approved to do another season. The young romance-like comedy series will also have new actors! Joining the series is Leila Khan as Sahar Zahid, Jack Barton as Nick’s older brother David Nelson, Bradley Riches as James McEwan, and Nima Taleghani as Mr. Farouk. Joe Locke and Kit Connor will be reprising their star roles.
Based on Alice Oseman’s novel of the same name, Heartstopper is described as a triumph for friendships, love, and life.
The synopsis reads:
“Boy meets boy. Boys become friends. Boys fall in love. When gentle Charlie and rugby-loving Nick meet at secondary school, they quickly discover that their unlikely friendship is blossoming into an unexpected romance. Charlie, Nick, and their circle of friends must navigate the ever-relatable journey of self-discovery and acceptance, supporting each other as they learn to find their most authentic selves.”
