OG Parker, a producer for songs like DDG’s “Impatient” and Migos’ “Slippery,” has teamed up with Grammy-nominated R&B singer-songwriter PARTYNEXTDOOR for their song “No Fuss.” The duo has worked in the past on PARTYNEXTDOOR’s “Loyal,” a single off his project PARTYMOBILE and Summer Walker’s song “Just Might.”
In “No Fuss,” PARTYNEXTDOOR wants to squash the beef between himself and a woman he adores. OG Parker provides the foundation for the singer’s silky vocals by pairing jazzy arrangements with a warm and peaceful R&B instrumental. Given the lyrics, the singer is aware of the faults in the relationship. However, he hopes his sweetheart will stop being wishy-washy about where the relationship is heading.
“Maybe the blame is on me/Might be moving too shady/I gotta claim on my deeds/All the wrongs I’ve done, I feel empathy,” he croons. “But it’s wrong to hold on to this energy/Baby I’m all yours, you’ll ever see/Holding you down like I’m meant to be.”
OG Parker says about their new collaboration:
“I’ve been fortunate enough to collaborate with some of the most iconic artists of my generation, but this collaboration is very special to me. It was always a goal of mine to work with Party, and after the numerous records we’ve touched on, I knew adding him to my album was a no-brainer.” Parker stated. “The first step was getting with one of my producers, Soulful Music, and creating a vibe specifically for Party. Once PND heard the beat, I knew he would connect it with the people. “No Fuss” is for sure going to be a game-changer, and I am thrilled to share my next single with the world.”
OG Parker intends on having “No Fuss” on his upcoming project Moments, which drops later this year.
