The upcoming James Bond: No Time To Die may have been put on the back-burner in light of COVID-19 lockdown regulations, but it’s all anything can really think about. For most, isolation now is a time to catch up on every Bond film in the franchise, marvelling at the other actors who have stepped into the shoes of the iconic spy and what they brought to the screen.
And when it comes to the more successful portrayals of James Bond, that played by Pierce Brosnan certainly ranks pretty highly. Brosnan wore the crisp suits and gadget-infused watches with pride for a good seven years, starting with 1995’s Golden Eye and finishing with 2002’s Die Another Day, of which the actor earned a Saturn Award for his performance.
While the franchise inevitable moved in a different direction, casting Daniel Craig in the role to breathe new life (and tone) into the Bond character and the films, Brosnan still holds a soft spot for the franchise in his heart (naturally), which doesn’t his announcement that he’d love to return to it all that surprising. Pierce Brosnan has revealed he would like to return to the James Bond franchise, but only if he gets to play a villain in the movie.
Personally, I think this would be a great idea because Brosnan is a fantastic actor. Guess well just have to wait and see!
