Netflix’s upcoming romantic flick Players will star Gina Rodriguez (Jane the Virgin) and Damon Wayans Jr. (Happy Endings). Rodriguez will play Chicago sportswriter Mack, and Wayans Jr. will play her best friend, Adam. Tom Ellis (Lucifer) is apart of the cast list as well.
Players will focus on Mack (Rodriguez), who has spent years creating successful hook-up “plays” with her best friend Adam (Wayans). But when she becomes smitten by one of her targets (Ellis), they are forced to confront the idea of an actual relationship. The movie is directed by Trish Sie (The Sleepover) and written by Whit Anderson (Ozark).
