It’s crazy to think that Migos dropped Culture II three years ago.
Giving us bangers like “Narcos,” “Walk It Like I Talk It,” and “Motorsport,” Culture II is a project that served as a highlight to Migos’ skyrocketed success. Although it didn’t grab many music lovers’ ears, the album was highly recognized within the rapshere. As Rolling Stone puts it,
“For the first 40 minutes of Migos’ Culture II, the Atlanta trap-rap trio’s combative, aspirational mantras of jet-set consumption achieve such a stark, staccato groove that the music almost becomes meditative – the kind of stupefyingly decadent reverie that gets you “lost in the sauce.”
Yesterday, Culture II turned three-years-old and earned a special gift. Quavo, a member of Migos, teased Culture III, penning on Twitter, “Happy Anniversary! The Clock Starts Now!” Down the timeline, fans have also heard potential song snippets from Culture III via Offset‘s Instagram page. In the past, he’s stated that the forthcoming project a proverbial “return to the bando.” Now, I don’t know about you, but that certainly piques my interest.
While we scrummage for new details on Culture III, please let us know how you feel about Migos dropping another project. You can view Quavo’s announcement here.
