Sony Uncharted Movie has had a number of directors turnover with the decade of development. From David O. Russel (2011) to who is now no longer directing the movie, Travis Knight. According the Hollywood Reporter, the director known for helming Zombieland andVenom, both which were box office successes, is Sony studios next top choice for directing Uncharted.
Uncharted follows the storyline that begins with the action-adventure video game Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. Treasure hunter Nate Drake discovers the Carrey’s and hidden treasures of the fictional South American Land, El Dorado, from a cursed golden statue. The discovery becomes a dimension of rivalry as other hunters and mutated creators (who are actual descendants of Spaniards and Nazis) join the search for win.
Ruben Fleischer coming aboard to direct what will be PlayStation Production first feature hints towards success. The film is scheduled to release Dec. 18, 2020, it’s likely the studio maybe pushing back in the release date due to the sudden changes.
