Scoob! Is stepping up to the challenge of the new worlds demands. The movie hasn’t paused productions and has chosen to follow through with scheduled release date going straight to streaming instead of in-theater. Sticking to the old school story of Scooby-Doo while bringing new generation style in for Warner Bro. success. From Simon Cowell to his six year old son in lead role, a premiere event with a virtual red carpet show via Twitter and stream release right at home.
The new movie follows the iconic gang on their usual mystery mission. A global dog-pocalypse sends them searching for a way to unleash the ghost dog, eventually introducing them to Scoobys secret legacy and great destiny.
Scoob! Has an amazing cast behind the voices listing American Idols Simon Cowell playing himself , his son Eric as Ben, Zac Efron as Fred, Gina Rodriguez as Velma, Amanda Seyfried as Daphne, Will Forte as Shaggy and Mark Wahlberg as Blue Falcon. Other cool names in the credits call Jason Isaacs as Dick Dastardly and Tracy Morgan as Captain Caveman.
We learned Simon’s six year old son Eric would be on cast from a Instagram post showing the two behind the scenes recording voice. In the photo Simon is standing behind his son, hold his shoulders, supporting him as they read through the scripts. The caption he shared was so father-ingly sweet.
“I watched Scooby-Doo as a kid and now I’m thrilled to be watching it again with my son Eric. So when we got asked to be in the new Scooby-Doo movie ‘@SCOOB!’, it was the quickest yes I’ve ever said.”
