The release date for Cairo Smith’s psychological thriller Screwdriver has been revealed. According to Coming Soon, the movie will be on video on demand by next month.
“Blindsided by divorce, thirty-three-year-old Emily leaves her adopted Nebraska behind and does a life re-do in California with only a suitcase,” the synopsis states. “Along Emily’s journey, she comes across an old high school friend and his pharmacologist wife who welcome her with open arms.”
The synopsis continues,
“Surprisingly, their hospitality soon leads to a surreal plot of cult-like manipulation and betrayal. As time passes, Emily gets gripped into a delirious tailspin, forcing her to question her faith, sanity, and her generous hosts’ intentions.”
Screwdriver is written and directed by Cairo Smith. The upcoming flick initially debuted on the festival circuit at Dances with Films in Los Angeles. It’ll be available on Cable and Digital VOD on November 10, 2023, including Prime Video, Vudu, Vubiquity, Cox, and Comcast.
