Adult Swim and Crunchyroll’s new anime Shenmue has an official release date. Shenmue the Animated will air on February 5, 2022, via Adult Swim and Crunchyroll. The news was announced in a brand new trailer. The trailer also gives viewers a hint of what to expect.
Adult Swim will carry an English dubbed version through Toonami, and Crunchyroll will have the subtitled version outside of China and Japan. There are no other details at this time. The series is based on Sega’s 1999 franchise.
