Disney Pixar has congregated a body of rich talent to bring sound for the new animated film Soul. The film follows middle school teacher Joe, who’s heart is inspired by the groove of jazz. Joes’ voice will be that of musician, actor and comedian, Jamie Foxx. The teacher has an awakening when he finds himself visiting the hereafter via a fall in between the wide grates of a sewer in NYC. The movies voice cast includes Tina Fey, Conquest, Phylicia Rasha and others.
When Joe falls through the cracks, he’s given the opportunity to pursue his lifelong dream of performing in the Blue Note, a jazz club based out of NewYork. Although, he’ll have “some existential work to do before he might land his big gig.” Joe will go through trials to reap his reward. That’s a Rated E Message- For Everyone!
Additionally, Oscar-winning jazz composers Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross will be contributing their harmonious art to the film making it a feel for the soft heart.
Disney Pixars’ Soul brings spiritual essence to theaters June 19, 2020.
