Rumor has it that Daredevil’s Charlie Cox will be playing the role once more of Matt Murdock in Spider-Man 3. This presumption reached new heights when director, Kevin Smith, spoke about Cox on his podcast, Fatman Beyond. “Did you hear that Spider-Man, the new Spider–Man movie, gonna have a lawyer in it?” teased Smith, “Charlie Cox, they’re bringing in as Matt Murdock. That’s been the rumor online, and they say that’s like the one that like Marvel’s like goddamn it how did that get out.”
This news follows the cancellation of Daredevil. In November 2018, Netflix decided that Daredevil must come to an end. HotNewHipHop adds, “The show, which had completed its third season, featured some of the greatest fight scenes in the enter Marvel Cinematic Universe — tenuously connected though it may have been.” Spider-Man 3 will, in fact, be called Spider-Man: Home Run. The film is said to release on July 16, 2021.
