It looks like Nick Fury could have been killed off in Avengers: Infinity War. Samuel L. Jackson‘s Nick Fury had a pretty big part to play in the early days of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, though he was only included in a post-credit scene in Infinity War and was largely absent from Avengers: Endgame until the movie’s conclusion. He did have a prominent role in Captain Marvel and was an important player in Spider-Man: Far From Home.
The latest comes from Stephen Schirle, who shared his concept art from the highest-grossing movie of all-time, including one image of Nick Fury getting stabbed by Black Order member Corvus Glaive, presumably to death. That would have been an ultimate fate for the eyepatch-wearing character, who’s been played by Samuel L. Jackson since the first movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Iron Man.
Schirle, who produced concept art for both Infinity War and Endgame as well as Captain Marvel and Ant-Man and the Wasp, shared the art on his Instagram page. It shows Corvus Glaive putting his blade through Fury’s back, almost certainly slicing through his heart..Ohh mannnn.
