Netflix has given the green light for the second season of Sweet Tooth. This news comes two months after the show’s arrival. The second season was announced through a clip on Twitter.
Sweet Tooth is a family-friendly storybook adventure meets fantasy series. The show revolves around Gus — part deer, part boy — who leaves his home in the forest to find the outside world in ruin. He teams up with a family of humans and animal-children hybrids like himself to discover this new world and the mystery behind his hybrid origins.
The show stars Christian Convery, Nonso Anozie, Adeel Akhtar, and Will Forte. James Brolin is the voice of the narrator. Other actors in Sweet Tooth include Aliza Vellani, Stefania LaVie Owen, Dania Ramirez, and Neil Sandilands.
Sweet Tooth is created and directed by Jim Mickle, who took inspiration from a screenplay he co-wrote with Beth Schwartz (Arrow). They both work as showrunners.
