After expressing his frustrations with Interscope Records for a couple of months, the label and Tory Lanez have come up with a resolution. As of late, the two have decided to split ways, but in the words of Lanez, there’s no bad blood. Sometimes a split is best, and with that, a new project will emerge from the musical multi-hyphenate.
On Monday, Tory Lanez revealed on Twitter that he’s releasing a new body of art titled New Toronto 3. According to Lanez, this forthcoming effort will mark the end of his business relationship with Interscope. “I haven’t dropped the music that I REALLY wanted to for the last four years,” Tory told a fan in response to their tweet. ”I just freestyle’d sh*t and songs that WOULD GET YOU BY, up until I said f*ck it ‘i gotta at least go 60 % or they went start thinking I’m super trashing then boom ‘CHIXTAPE 5,’ but this should be fun tho.”
The dispute between Lanez and Interscope surfaced on tabloids when he threatened to ”expose” his label back in December for how they’ve been allegedly mismanaging his career.
It looks like Tory Lanez won’t be ”Broke In A Minute.”
