What’s better than one documentary? A series! South African native, Trevor Noah, known best as the host of The Daily Show is partnering up to produce, The Tipping Point. Described as a documentary series that will explore how the, “developments across our culture are rapidly leading to multiple critical moments with the potential to inevitably create the distinct delineation between before and after.”
Noah will be the executive producer on this project. He will partner with Time Studios, Sugar 23 and P&G Studios to put out the project. Noah, The Born A Crime Author, is no stranger to speaking on controversial topics, which makes him the perfect match to produce a documentary series such as this. The films will be stand alone documentaries that will touch on individual topics per film. Modern day topics relating to voting rights, civil rights, human rights, healthcare and American democracy.
Noah said about the upcoming production,
“I am excited to be working with TIME Studios, Sugar23 and P&G Studios on this important documentary series during one of the most fascinating and challenging periods in modern history. I hope these documentaries will act as a mirror to our society and showcase our resiliency while providing hope for the path ahead.”
Noah continued, “I hope these documentaries will act as a mirror to our society and showcase our resiliency while providing hope for the path ahead.” We can definitely all use a little more hope! The films will feature several well known celebrities giving their input on topics, some of these include Noah himself, LeBron James, Maverick Carter, The SpringHill Company, Angelina Jolie, Kat Graham and Lance Bass. There is no word on official release date or network the documentary series will air on, but knowing that this series is in the works is exciting enough!
