President Trump takes to twitter to outlet his opinion on “liberal hollywood” after Universal Pictures decides to put a hault on the “The Hunt” which was orginally scheduled to release this September. Universal acknowledges the upcoming horror film may not be appropriate for the current time.
Very recently, America has experienced two extreme mass shootings in the timespan of only a month. The trailer and approaching debut date led to a whirl of rage fueled confusion, concern & controversial conversation. Close to all viewers were in agreeance that the film was inflammatory, insensitive and practically implicit. With these facts, Universal agreed to pulling all “The Hunt” ads and canceling, the Dark Web conspiracy inspired thriller about liberal elites killing “deplorables,” for sport.
Universal Studios states “While Universal Pictures had already paused the marketing campaign for The Hunt, after thoughtful consideration, the studio has decided to cancel our plans to release the film.”
“We stand by our filmmakers and will continue to distribute films in partnership with bold and visionary creators, like those associated with this satirical social thriller, but we understand that now is not the right time to release this film.”
After Fox News reported the decision, Trump cyberly expressed his thoughts tweeting, “Liberal Hollywood is Racist at the highest level, and with great Anger and Hate! They like to call themselves ‘Elite,’ but they are not Elite. In fact, it is often the people that they so strongly oppose that are actually the Elite”
The movie is produced by the same company of Get Out, The Purge franchise and Paranormal Activity. The Hunt was originally set to release September 27th, whether the film is off only temporarily is unknown. Watch the trailer below
