What better time for Rostrum Records to release two new Mac Miller tracks than on the 10th anniversary of the K.I.D.S. album release? The commemorative deluxe edition of Mac Miller’s breakout album features two new songs titled “Ayye” and “Back In the Day”. Eric Dan, owner of ID Labs recording studio, posted a heartfelt message on Instagram announcing that he had produced the track “Ayye”.
In an interview with YRBTV in 2010, Mac Miller said, “I’m not scared to go there. I’ll sing for a whole track. People are like, ‘You’re singing? You should just rap.’ But K.I.D.S. to me was saying, ‘This is all of me’.” Mac always tried his best to express himself through whatever style he felt resonated with him the most.
