Usher, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, and Julianne Hough are co-hosting the Global Citizen competition CBS series The Activist. The series, which runs for five weeks, will premiere on Friday, Oct. 22 at 8 P.M. The Activist will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
The Activist is a competition series that features six inspiring activists who pair up with noble figures. Together, they contribute as much as possible to one of three crucial world causes health, education, and environment.
The activists compete against each other in challenges to promote their causes. Their success is measured through online engagement, social metrics, and the hosts’ insight. The three teams’ goal is to create impactful movements that’ll speak to individuals across the globe. Should they become successful, the winner will go to the G20 Summit in Rome, Italy.
The team that wins the most significant commitment will become the winner. In the finale, expect to see musical performances by some of the world’s most celebrated artists. Global Citizen produces the series.
