Warner Bros. released the trailer for their latest film The Suicide Squad on March 26th. One of DC’s most infamous supervillains Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) has returned, and she isn’t alone. She will be fighting alongside many new characters such as Rick Flag (Joel Kinnaman), Bloodsport (Idris Elba), Blackguard (Pete Davidson), and Peacemaker (John Cena). One of the most noticeable characters is someone who appears to be a man with a shark head (or, possibly, a shark with a human body) voiced by Sylvester Stallone.
The film is a sequel to the 2016 film Suicide Squad. Little is revealed about the overall plot of The Suicide Squad, but we can gather that it will be full of mayhem, fighting, and witty humor! Like Quinn, Viola Davis will also be reprising her role as Amanda Waller.
James Gunn– who wrote and directed two Marvel films is bringing a much livelier tone to DC. As the writer of The Suicide Squad, we can expect amazing storytelling from a band of villains expected to save the world after their incarceration. Gunn released the trailer for The Suicide Squad on his Twitter Friday, and the film will open on August 6 in theaters and on HBO Max.
