Disney+ has shared a “X-Men ‘97” clip from episode 8 that was released on May 1st. The clip showed a teaser of Cyclops, Cable, and Jean Grey fighting together against Mister Sinister and Bastion’s human-sentinel hybrid army.
Episode 7 influenced this teaser. More so, because Cable has played an important role in efforts to protect Genosha and X-Men. The X-Men are looking for the people responsible for attacking Genosha and unfortunately, Gambit dies while saving Rogue with others.
Leading up to the eighth episode, it was a big loss for the X-Men losing Gambit from the attacks of the Sentinel Army. Rogue has not taken time to grieve and misses Gambit’s funeral. Many mutants of the X-Men questioned her judgment on not attending. But instead, she was seeking revenge against Henry Gyrich and Boliver Trask. This shows an interesting side of as she develops darkside tendencies in order to fill the satisfaction.
Captain America also makes an appearance to stop Rogue committing a vicious act to put more things into perspective. Henry Gyrich is finally caught and killed later that night. Towards the end, Magneto becomes powerless because of Genosha’s powering collar and it gets interesting. Looks like X-Men is taking back what’s theirs!
