Sandra Bullock and Channing Tatum are set to star in the Rom-Com The Lost City of D, premiering in 2022.
The Lost City of D has been quietly percolating for months but has now by attached to a few successful names in Hollywood. The award winning film studio Paramount Pictures announced Saturday film from directors Adam and Aaron Nee received a wide release date for April 15, 2022.
The Lost City of D is described as a screw-ball adventure featuring witty repartee and romance. The story follows a novelist (Bullock) who gets stuck on a tour with her cover model (Tatum). The pair get swept in a life-threatening adventure that sends them on a path of twists and turns, after discovering a fictional city Bullock wrote about, was real. This old fashioned star vehicle proves life is far more exciting than any of the protagonists paperback fictions.
Bullock will also produce the film via her banner Fortis Films, alongside Seth Gordon who is producing via Exhibit A. The film was written by Dana Fox which is based on an idea and treatment by Gordon. Fox can also be linked to previous screenplays she’s written that have made it to theaters such as What Happens in Vegas, Couples Retreat, and Isn’t It Romantic. Liza Chasin is also producing via 3dot Productions. Bullock hasn’t been on screens since 2018’s Ocean’s 8, but it is safe to say she is making a comeback in 2022 with her costar Tatum!
