Queen Latifah stars as the crime-fighting vigilante Robyn McCall in the new CBS series The Equalizer. When Robyn’s daughter Delilah (Laya DeLeon Hayes) inquires about her new gig, she immediately responds “Its complicated.” And of course, Delilah isn’t the only person curious about her job.
Chris North appears in the teaser as an ex-CIA director who warns Robyn of the danger to come. Robyn remains completely unfazed for her own reason. The cast also includes Tory Kittles, Lorraine Toussaint, Liza Lapira, and Adam Goldberg.
The 30 second teaser which dropped Saturday, unveils ex-CIA agent Robyn who will stop at nothing to bring justice. She is under-the radar so her methods might be a little unorthodox, but after all, she is “The one you call when you cant call 911.”
The Pilot is set to premiere February 7 after the Super Bowl. The series is a third iteration of the classic 1980’s series with Edward Woodward. Latifah says this is the only time in her career where someone offered her a role and she instantly said yes.
