Freddie Gibbs not only raps but dabbles in acting as well. Having obtained a role in Down with the King, the rap star is moving on to his next endeavor. As of late, he gave Sony Pictures’ 6 Stage Films rights to the film. Down with the King has already earned the Grand Prize at the Deuville American Film Festival.
The movie also stars Jamie Neumann, David Krumholytz, Sharon Washington, and Bob Tarasuk. Although it’s not viewable for the public just yet, Down with the King made its debut at the Cannes Film Festival ACID line-up.
“I’m thrilled to be working with Sony Pictures to bring Down with the King to the world and showcase Freddie Gibbs’ incredible talent beyond music,” said Ongaro of Sony Pictures’ purchase of Down With The King.
In other Freddie Gibbs news, he dropped a remix to Drake’s “Intro.” The rapper speaks about past beef with Rick Ross, who he now claims as his “mother’s son.” He also came for Kendrick Lamar‘s neck, who said he’s smoking on “top 5.”
