Verzuz, once again, commenced with a bang. This time around, Fat Joe went against Ja Rule. While onstage, the ones threw innocently fun jabs at one another as their smash hits played in the background. But, the most shocking factor of that night were the musicians who pulled up to help deliver their timeless records.
Fat Joe dropped his hits “All the Way Up,” “Flow Joe,” “All I Do Is Win (Remix),” “Sunshine (The Light),” “Get It Poppin’,” “YES,” “Make It Rain,” and Big Pun‘s “Still Not A Player.” He also brought along previous collaborators like Remy Ma, Dre (of Cool & Dre), and Nelly, who performed his megahit “Hot in Herre.”
Ja Rule, on the other hand, pulled out his hits like “Holla Holla,” “Between Me & You,” “Livin’ It Up,” “Put It On Me,” “Down 4 U,” “I Cry,” “Mesmerize,” and Jennifer Lopez‘s “I’m Real.” During his time, he brought out past collaborators as well, like Vita, Lil Mo, and Ashanti.
Near the end of Verzuz, Ashanti, Fat Joe, and Ja Rule came together to perform “What’s Luv?” Joe also gifted Remy and Ashanti with luxury bags that he wanted them to unbox on stage. But, due to time restraints, he slid right into “Lean Back.”
Jadakiss popped in, and they ended the show with “New York,” a track featuring The LOX rapper with Fat Joe and Ja Rule.
Given all this, it’s more apparent why fans worldwide are still buzzing about this stellar show.
