Kerry Washington has taken on the role of Bart’s Teacher in the beloved animated series, The Simpsons. Her character’s name is Rayshelle Peyton, and she is depicted as a “thoughtful, highly capable, and rather unfiltered fourth-grade teacher.”
Fox unveiled this news through a new clip yesterday. You can check it out below:
Washington’s character makes her first appearance on April 24th, 2022. The episode is called “My Octopus and a Teacher.”
About Peyton, Washington says:
“She’s a great teacher. But like all the best teachers, she knows that her students have just as much to teach her as she has to teach them. And teaching Bart is a job filled with growth opportunities.”
The Simpsons has been on air for 30 years so far. Dan Castellaneta plays as Homer Simpson, Julie Kavner plays as Marge, Nancy Cartwright plays as Bart, and Yeardley Smith plays as Lisa.
