OG Parker has joined forces with Ty Dolla $ign and Muni Long for his single “Still Work.” Rather than following the narrative of a modern-day love story, the singer-songwriters go for a call-and-response technique to see if they can mend what was once broken. In turn, the multi-platinum producer creates an R&B beat that echos a feeling of sentiment and longing for that special someone.
From Ty Dolla $ign’s perspective, he wants his lady to spin the block again. Even though she ended things abruptly, the musician doesn’t mind continuing their journey together.
“My mistakes, thought you was better off alone (Alone)/And the walls feel like they closin’ in (In)/It was good but your girls they lead a life of sin (Sin)/Ayy, if you’re hearin’ this song (Song)/Girl, don’t take too long,” he sings
At Muni Long’s stance, however, she’s 50/50 about hitting the gas or pumping the brakes. Regardless of where they stand, one thing is for certain. The two will always have a space in their hearts for one another.
“What make you think I got your number still? (Number still)/Maybe I don’t (Maybe I don’t)/But if I do (But if I do) maybe I will (Maybe I will),” Muni Long sings in a playful tone.
