Dwight Howard, Yung Joc, Streetz 94.5 + The Streetz Morning Takeover, Mu Real, and their friends paid kindness forward to Atlanta residents last Friday (Nov. 24) by passing out an ornament of holiday gifts.
As a way of giving back, Howard’s team, Yung Joc, Mz. Shyneka, and Shawty Shawty passed out over 300+ turkeys to locals in line at the Walmart on Old National Highway in Atlanta, Georgia. Joc, Shyneka, and Shawty also hosted the event, ensuring attendees enjoyed their time through fun games and appeasing music.
Additionally, Howard handed out signed Jerseys and sneakers to eager fans. During Thanksgiving Eve, the NBA legend passed out 12 basketball jerseys he wore during games and signed each. The items in question included a pair of autographed Kobe Grinches sneakers and a line of Howard’s kicks.
Howard sweetened the gestures by picking a lucky fan on TikTok for a Jersey from his first game in Taiwan, where he scored 38 points, 25 rebounds, nine assists, and four blocks. The giveaway was open to fans across the globe. Winners came from Nigeria, the Philippines, Taiwan, India, U.S.A, and more.
“I firmly believe that the more we give, the more we receive in return,” Howard said in a press statement. “It’s not about receiving material rewards, but rather the intangible rewards of joy, happiness, and peace that come from positively impacting someone else’s life. I am a firm believer in the concept of paying it forward and spreading kindness wherever I go.”
Two days later, Howard attended a grooming salon called Hammer and Nails in Midtown Atlanta for Men’s Appreciation Day, inspired by Yung Joc and other men who made a significant mark in the community throughout the year.
During their stay, the men were given massages by Miso Natural Wellness Spa, culinary treats made by Chef Camille of Eat Your Greens catering, and Chef Lou’s Greatest of the Plates.
