The posters for Avatar: The Last Airbender characters have been revealed. The live-action Avatar series takes admiration from Nickelodeon’s 2005 animated show, which carries the same name. The posters carry the slogan “Master Your Element” and features four characters from the series: Gordon Cormier as Aang, Ian Ousley as Sokka, Kiawentiio as Katara, and Dallas Liu as Zuko.
The cast also includes Elizabeth Yu as Princess Azula, Maria Zhang as Kyoshi warrior Suki, C.S. Lee as Avatar Roku, Amber Midthunder as Princess Yue, A Martinez as Pakku, Yvonne Chapman as Avatar Kyoshi, Tamlyn Tomita as Yukari, Daniel Dae Kim as Fire Lord Ozai, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee as Uncle Iroh, Lim Kay Siu as Gyatso, Ken Leung as Commander Zhao, and Casey Camp-Horinek as Gran Gran. Avatar: The Last Airbender comes from Albert Kim, who is operating as the showrunner, writer, and executive producer.
The synopsis reads, “Water. Earth. Fire. Air. The four nations once lived in harmony, with the Avatar, master of all four elements, keeping peace between them.”
It continues: “But everything changed when the Fire Nation attacked and wiped out the Air Nomads, the first step taken by the firebenders towards conquering the world. With the current incarnation of the Avatar yet to emerge, the world has lost hope.”
Avatar: The Last Airbender will debut on Netflix on Thursday, February 22.
