The new trailer for Terrifier 3 previews Art The Clown, played by David Howard Thornton, embarking on a murderous Christmas rampage. Initially previewed at San Diego Comic-Con, the extended trailer finds the horror movie character in the festive spirit as he drives others to their doom on Christmas Eve. The movie is set to hit theaters in October.

Terrifier 3 stars Thornton, Lauren Lavera, Elliott Fullam, Samantha Scaffidi, Antonella Rose, Margaret Anne Florence, Bryce Johnson, Alexa Blair, Mason Mecartea, Krsy Fox, Clint Howard, Jon Abrahams, Chris Jericho, Daniel Roebuck, and Jason Patric.

The Terrifier franchise is written and directed by Damien Leone. He’s been telling stories about Art The Clown since 2008. The character first appeared in a short film called The 9th Circle. Once 2011 hit, he had his own self-titled short film. At the time, Art The Clown was played by Mike Gianelli before he retired. Both movies were then added to All Hallows’ Eve in 2013.

Art got his first feature movie in 2016’s Terrifier. Following this, he reappeared in 2022’s Terrifier 2, which earned approximately $15.7 million at the box office with an estimated $250,000 budget.

More recently, Leone wrote on X that Terrifier 3 features one of the most “horrific scenes of the entire franchise.

“Can honestly say we just filmed one of the most insanely horrific scenes of the Terrifier franchise, and you’ll never believe who couldn’t handle it on set,” he tweeted. “The bts is hilarious. Can’t wait for you all to see!”
