Creative Director Shawn Levy has shared some new behind-the-scenes photos in anticipation of the upcoming season of Stranger Things, promoting season five. The images showcase the team, including the director, at work on the casting project. They feature several cast members who will be returning to the series, including Caleb McLaughlin, Millie Bobby Brown, and Gaten Matarazzo.
Behind The Scenes Pictures
The pictures depict the team collaborating and filming several shorts for the series. In the last photo shared by the director, he included an image of his director’s chair, signifying his involvement in the project alongside the “Stranger Things” title. Announcing what fans can expect from the upcoming series, Levy indicated earlier this year that he will be participating in one of the episodes set to be released. The inclusion of these photos confirms his role as director for this project.
This isn’t his first time directing, as he has helmed episodes throughout the seasons that you might not expect. In addition to directing, he was also cast as one of the executives for the project.
Casting + Returning Cast
In addition to the returning cast members, the series will introduce a few new faces alongside the original characters. The cast includes McLaughlin as Lucas Sinclair, Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield, Matarazzo as Dustin Henderson, Brown as Eleven, Finn Wolfhard as Mike Wheeler, Priah Ferguson as Erica Sinclair, Joe Keery as Steve Harrington, Maya Hawke as Robin Buckley, Noah Schnapp as Will Byers, Winona Ryder as Joyce Byers, David Harbour as Jim Hopper, Charlie Heaton as Jonathan Byers, and Natalia Dyer as Nancy Wheeler. Additionally, Jamie Campbell Bower will return as the villain Vecna.
