Mac Miller will be approaching with a film special debuting his album
The estate of Mac Miller is set to unveil an official film inspired by his forthcoming posthumous album, titled “Balloonerism“.

Tickets for exclusive one-night-only advance screenings are now available in select cities, including Auckland, New Zealand; Berlin, Germany; Dublin, Ireland; London, UK; Melbourne, Australia; New York City; Paris, France; Pittsburgh; Sydney, Australia; and Toronto.
Prices on purchasing a Ticket
Prices at just $5, these tickets grant entry on January 15th in the United States and January 16th internationally. All proceeds from this event will support the Mac Miller Fund. At this time, it remains uncertain whether the film will later be released more widely.
The announcement arrives just as Balloonerism is set to be released on January 17th. In a statement, Miller’s family expressed:
“Numerous fans of Malcolm are already acquainted with ‘Balloonerism,’ a complete album that he crafted during the same timeframe as the release of ‘Faces’ in 2014. This project was incredibly meaningful to Malcolm; he even went so far as to commission artwork for it and frequently engaged in conversations about when it should be unveiled. However, in the end, ‘GO:OD AM’ and the albums that followed took priority”.
The statement goes on to say,
“We see this project as a true reflection of Malcolm’s vast musical abilities and his boldness as an artist”.
Since unofficial versions of the album have been available online for many years, and considering how often Malcolm emphasized the significance of releasing Balloonerism, we believed it was only fitting to share an official version with the world.
With that sentiment in mind, we are delighted to confirm that ‘Balloonerism’ will be launched on January 17th, 2025“.
