A$AP Rocky has spent a little over 2 weeks incarcerated on Swedish grounds in Stockholm, Sweden after an altercation turned physical between his camp and two unruly fans on the streets of Sweden.
While prosecutors decide whether to charge him with aggravated assault, it has been reported by TMZ that Rocky is being held in inhumane conditions at a “diseases-ridden” facility.
According to sources per TMZ, Rocky is sleeping on a yoga mat without blankets next door to an inmate who suffers from mental issues. It is said that the inmate repeatedly bangs his head on the walls and throws feces everywhere, that is not cleaned by the negligent staff. “the water, we’re told, is not clean and the food is not edible … for the first 5 days A$AP Rocky ate an apple a day, and that’s it.” sources report.
“There is a treaty — the Vienna Convention for Consular Relations — which both Sweden and the United States signed. Under the treaty, when a foreigner like A$AP Rocky is arrested, he has a right to immediately see an official from the U.S. Consulate. Our sources say Rocky asked for the meeting, but when an official from the American Consulate arrived at the detention center to meet him, he was squarely denied access — a clear violation of the treaty. ” TMZ reports.
In the name of A$AP Rocky, rappers have began to boycott his arrest and Sweden out as a tour stop. Tyler The Creator expressed his discontent, “no more sweden for me, ever,” ScHoolboy Q later echoed similar sentiments with “I’m not goin nomo eitHer…#FLACKO.”
Atlanta native T.I. re-shared their comments on Instagram with the caption, “Welp…There it is…Sweden’s now officially outside of the culture on the NO GO list!!! Until they @FreeFlacko it’s UP!!!” Fellow rappers like Lil Yatchy and EarthGang also joined the boycott.
If Rocky is convicted, he can face up to six years behind bars. We’re keeping the A$AP mobster in our prayers and hope justice is served.
