A familiar killer is back in the first trailer for I Know What You Did Last Summer.
The short clip introduces a myriad of new characters and sees Jennifer Love Hewitt and Freddie Prinze Jr. reprising their roles as Julie and Ray. At the beginning of the footage, Outer Banks actress Madelyn Cline can be seen relaxing in a bath, while her boyfriend is attacked by a masked killer widely known as The Fisherman. Viewers also see the grave of Helen Shivers, played by Sarah Michelle Gellar, in the first movie.
The plot is similar to the 1997 horror hit film as well. Like the original movie, a group of friends are hiding a fatal accident from the previous summer. They must know protect themselves before their bloody conclusion. Directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, this is the fourth movie in the series. The newest installment in the I Know What You Did Last Summer franchise picks up from the first flick.
The new cast includes Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers, and Sarah Pidgeon. Like Scream and the upcoming Final Destination: Bloodlines, this sequel blends a new generation of characters with classic horror storylines.
